Which drain is giving you trouble?
Common Clog Causes, In Plain Language
Most drain problems come down to a handful of causes, and the fixture tells you a lot about which one is at work. A kitchen sink clogs from grease and food. A bathroom sink or tub clogs from hair and soap. A toilet jams on an object or a buildup of paper. When several drains back up at once, the blockage is out at the main line.
A clog that keeps coming back is the one to watch. Repeated clogs usually mean something is coating the pipe wall, or roots or a damaged section are involved. That is when a camera inspection earns its place, because it shows the inside of the line instead of guessing.
What the result means
The result names the most likely cause and the service that fits it. If it points to hydro jetting, the buildup is probably coating the walls. If it points to a camera inspection, the clog is recurring and we want to see the line before clearing it again.
When a camera beats a guess
A camera inspection shows roots, cracks, offsets, bellies, grease and blockages directly. For a clog that keeps returning, or before a repair, seeing the inside of the pipe is the honest way to know what is going on.
A quick note. This is a quick guide, not a diagnosis. A camera inspection shows exactly what's in your line. If your drain is backing up right now, call us and we'll walk you through it.

Clog Diagnoser Questions
Is the clog diagnoser a real inspection of my pipe?
No. It is a quick guide based on your answers, not a diagnosis. It points to the most likely cause and the service that fits. A sewer camera inspection shows exactly what is in your line.
Why does 'several drains at once' point to the main line?
When more than one fixture backs up at the same time, the blockage is almost always past where those drains join, out at the main sewer line. Clearing one fixture will not fix a main line clog.
Why does 'keeps coming back' point to a camera inspection?
A clog that returns every few weeks usually means buildup is coating the pipe wall, or roots or damage are involved. A camera inspection shows whether the pipe needs clearing on a schedule or a real repair.
What should I do right now while I wait?
Stop running water, do not flush, keep people and pets away from any sewage, and skip the chemical drain cleaner. Call us and we will walk you through it.
